Aaron Thomas is an Assistant Instructor at Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Camira. He began his Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2019 with the goal of developing practical self-defence skills while improving his health, confidence, and overall mindset.
As a Gracie University Certified Instructor, Aaron has completed the following certifications:
Gracie Combatives® Instructor Certification
Women Empowered® Instructor Certification
Gracie Bullyproof® Instructor Certification
Blue Belt Stripe Courses (BBS 1–4)
Alongside his Gracie Jiu-Jitsu training, Aaron has studied wrestling, boxing, Muay Thai, and Judo, always with practical self-defence as his primary focus. He has since gone on to establish and operate his own Jiu-Jitsu academy, while remaining grateful for the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu system that laid the foundation for his teaching philosophy.
Aaron enjoys teaching students of all ages and experience levels—from children taking their first class to experienced practitioners refining their skills. He believes every student has something valuable to teach, and that the best instructors are lifelong learners. This philosophy continues to inspire his approach both on and off the mats.
Outside Jiu-Jitsu, Aaron has a passion for the arts and lifelong learning. He enjoys music, languages, puzzles, films, and linguistics, and is always eager to explore new ideas and perspectives.
